How to set up the crossovers??

Guys like the title says I want to know how to set up the crossovers as few crossovers are close and I would add that in my car audio system, but before that the experts can explain why these cross-overs are needed In an audio system and what are their advantages ???....

My system consists of,

Pioneer 4250SD player.
Pioneer 6993 speakers (rear)
Mutant amplifier for rear speakers only.
1260 BR JBL 12 "woofer box imported Anniversary Edition
JBL 301.1 AMP MONO (30amp fuse) for only Woofer
Front door speakers are in stock 7th generation civic and runs only on player.

cud you be more specific that what sort for crossovers you hava? a link or a pic wud be helpful.

By looking at your current setup, i think you dont need an outboard xover, the xover of your Head Unit is sufficient.

Cut the sub at LPF 80hz
Front and rear speakers at HPF 80hz or 100hz.
