Improved CNG Performance 4 Carb Engines

Well my name is Danish and I m an Automobile Technician in Toyota Southern Motors, Korangi Industrial Area, Karachi. Before this, I had worked in SUZUKI CARACHI MOTORS, Main Shahra-e-Faisal.


I have been researching that how 2 get nice performance on cng vehicles with carburetor engines. Finally i got a technique that I have done in my own ride i-e Honda Civic 90 1200 cc. I have got positive results so i thought that why not I should share this with all you guys...


So, the thing is that the CNG Venturi which is installed on the mouth of tha Carburetor, is connected with the CNG decompressor through a Hose pipe through which the gas is supplied. Now follow the steps below.....


1. First, disconnect air cleaner housing from your carburetor. remember all the vacuum hoses and there place from where you are disconnecting. So that, it will help you when you will be assembling again,


2. Now, you can see the CNG venturi installed on the top of the carburetor.


(NOTE: This technique only works with the round shaped venturies installed directly on the top of the carburetor. In SUZUKI Factory Fitted CNG vehecles such as Mehran, Alto etc.... The design of venturi is changed and it is installed inside the air cleaner housing. We cant do any alteration to that....)


3. Now take out that venturi and disconnect the cng pipe and first make sure to disconnect the NEGATIVE terminal of ur car's Battery.


4. Now you have separated the venturi from ur car and it is in your hand. You can se that the steel pipe to which, you connect the CNG pipe coming from the Decompressor, is a very little bit inside the round curve of the venturi. You just take that pipe out, and cut its mouth with a bigger area to flow cng... just like in the picture.

is showing the original venture and the other one is showing after alteration in the venture. I don�t have any camera, otherwise I was going to take pictures of my own car�s CNG venture and the post it so that you guys can understand easily that how to do this thing.




Now, rejoin the venture to the CNG pipe, and fix it on the carburetor. Now reassemble the air cleaner housing on the carburetor and connect all the vacuum hoses which you disconnected. And complete all the fittings and then start your engine and go on the test drive so as to feel the difference.
