Improving performence of 03 Civic vti

Salams All,

Could any one guide me on how to improve performence on a 03 civic. I have one and on petrol it just doesnt seem to perform that well regarding pickup and top speed. The top speed seems to stop at 180 whereas the RPM still has a thousand revs till redline. I have a gli which achieves that speed ! and this is suppose to be 300 cc more with vtec! I am looking for some economical changes , maybe spark plug? widening the exhaust body? etc etc, any suggestions? its running on 205/65/R15's and has a 55 kg cylinder in the boot, but I dunt think it should make that much of a difference!! suggestions an comments please, also could someone elaborate what a stage 1 modifications require. thanks

take CNG off..use hi octane gas..
modern ECU will adjust ignition according to octane rating..hence better performance. not sure about this in Honda..give it a try.

You can install a screw type super charger and run mild boost of 5psi without damaging your engine.
