Transmission slipping in the Hilux can be caused by low o r dirty transmission fluid, a worn-out clutch manual, faulty solenoids, o r a failing torque converter automatic. Checking and replacing transmission fluid is the first step. For manual models, a worn clutch o r pressure plate may require replacement. Automatic transmissions may experience issues due to solenoid o r torque converter failure, which can be diagnosed using an OBD-II scanner. Regular maintenance, fluid changes, and avoiding aggressive driving help prevent gear slippage and ensure smooth shifting.
