Jump starting a maintenance free battery

Jump starting a maintenance free battery

Hello experts,

something i wana know.. my younger brother owns an imported Alto HA24V model 2005 which has a 660cc efi engine, automatic transmission and a maintenance free dry cell battery installed. now as the winter season is approaching, at times the car wont start in the early morning.. being an auto the car cannot be push started, the question i wana ask is: can a dry cell battery be jump started with a conventional battery? something i couldn't find on net.. is it a good idea to jump start a maintenance free battery or is it recommended to go for a new one? lastly, we use to connect the -ve of the second cable to the engine block of the car, the engine of which has to be cranked while its hard to find such area in such a small and compact engine like that of an HA24V.. its almost similar to the engine bay of Belta & new Vitz... since never done this to a car like this, experts kindly let me know what to do in this scenario..

i would highly recommend getting a new battery.. It will eventually fail on you, so better to replace it while you still have the chance (get wet AGS for it)

getting back to your question, yes i have jump started a maintenance free HANKOOK battery since the car had to be taken to the battery vendor
