Khyber project

a relative of myne has a khyber in appauling condition, engine is almost at the edge of self distruction and almost all mechanical parts need servising/refurbishing or replacemnt.....

well my samester break is coming so we have thought to restore it ourself.. and also have thought to make it a bit more powerfull, safe everyday runner....

so what are my engine options.....

1) rebuild its original engine......
no performance increase... i dont liek the engine and the gear box because of its ratios....

2) cultus engine.....
almost same engine apart,just an ohc.... same khyber ratios....

3) margalla's carby 1.3 engine....
well significant power gain.... will it fit without any cutting welding of the body...

4) baleno's 1.3 efi engine
my favourite egine for the job.... very good performance for light weight khyber, efi... the question again, cutting welding of the body......


well also i need the aproximate price of these engiens apart from the fitting and stuff.....

other modification i have in mind include
-brakes
well the brakes of swift gti will be the best option but the fact is that its quiet difficult to find out here in pak, so i think my options are brakes of anybigger suzuki car , like nragalla or baleno.... i think being of the same brand minimal modification will be needed

suspension
the same is the case with suspension... margalla's suspension...


power stearing...
again i have margalla plus power stearing mechanism in mind


Note...
the car will be on cng as it will be a daily runner and its purpose wont be to race or drag, just to have some power under your feet.....

i am involving myself in this project because allthe work will be done our self, this includes rebuilding the engine (if the old one is used) and swapping the engine (if new one is used), and as i will be free for a month or so, it will be a great oppertunity to have some practical experience in the field i love the most...
