Lancer AT 2005 Knocking problem

Gents,
I have a lancer 2005 AT it has done 20000 km only MA ...i have been running it on petrol and have never installed CNG.... The issue that i have is that there is a knocking problem / sound whenever i floor the accelerator... especially when the Aircon is turned on.
I contacted Mitsubishi motors and according to them this problem is in 100% of automatic transmission lancers.... However they claim that this is due to poor quality of fuel... and recommended me to run it on Hi-Octane...

Well i tried Hi-Octane and it worked.... but unfortunately.. it is too expensive.....

My questions:
- Does anyone else have the same problem with AT lancers 2005 and on.
- Is there any way anyone can recommend to remove this sound / problem (Apart from mixing standard fuel with Hi-Octane or carb cleaners)

It looks like if you want avoid pinging and extend the life of your engine, you will have to pony up the extra cost.

Try different mixes of Hi-Octane and regular to come up with the least amount of Hi-Octane that will give you satisfactory results.
