Lost in different noises

Lost in different noises

AOA

here is my story. my swift sedan was running fine, awesome pickup, smooth ride, I found oil reduction after 200-300 Km. my mechanic suggested the problem is in rings
and need replacement.

after replacing rings and pistons found tappet noise just like a tractor noise.
mechanic changed original tappets with cultus tappets and noise get fixed after two days. on first day noise was on and off.

now when I accelerate or hit the speed in any gear I hear a noise "grrrr" which frustrates me. I am worried is this a crankshaft noise?

what I read in an article is " dont start the engine at least 30 mins after tappet
adjustment which can damage engine" is this true?

my mechanic started engine immediately after tappets adjustment with noise and gave high accelerators, is this OK?

I dont like to have variable suggestion from mechanics, please suggest some right
and knowledgeable person who can diagnose and guide me right in rawalpindi or islamabad

thanks

there is no harm done to engine after adjusting tappets ... in order to perform tappet adjustments you need to wait about 30 mins till the engine is cold. that's the best way ... you can do while engine is warm but best to be done in cold engine.

start the car right away and rev as much as you want ... won't harm the engine.
