Mileage of Toyota Aqua Reduced to 17-18 KM/L

Mileage of Toyota Aqua Reduced to 17-18 KM/L

I imported my Toyota Aqua last year and started driving it in Lahore in December. Initially, it was delivering an impressive mileage of 22-24 KM/L, but over the past three weeks, it has ped to 17-18 KM/L, which is concerning.

I’ve been meticulous about maintenance:

I use Zic Oil 0W-30 Hybrid, purchased directly from an authorized dealer.
I refuel only from a Shell station operated by the army in Lahore Cantt.
Despite taking these precautions, the fuel efficiency has decreased. Could anyone guide me on the possible reasons for this decline? Any tips o r checks I should perform to restore the mileage?

Looking forward to your suggestions. Thank you!

Fuel efficiency varies based on driving conditions. Aggressive acceleration o r frequent city driving, especially when driving outside the ECO zone, can bring mileage down to around 17-18 km/l.

On smooth roads with steady speeds, the fuel economy improves significantly. Additionally, consider switching fuel stations to see if there’s any difference in performance.

Your mileage appears to be within a normal range.
