Mini Pajero...turbo problem

recently i was planing on buying a mini pajero and i have been going thru alot of the shops to have a look..and than i heard from a friend who has been importing cars from japan that these mini pajeros come with a problem that there turbos gets messd up and the car seems to get all slow..and i was curious if that is true..?
and precisely im talking about the 1996 to 2000 models..

dosnt the cng effct the car a litle to much since you know its just 660cc..? and how much did you get you car for since im looking for an automatic version..and the price quoted to me has been between 340,000 to max 4laks
