Mixing high-octane with supreme petrol

Guys i have heard from many people that one should mix 2 - 5 ltrs high-octane with normal fuel to increase fuel efficiency and performance of your car.

pls tell me is there any technical logic behind it or its just a myth

its 100% true .. I have seen this formula ... once I have my cult refuled with full tank and I mixed almot 10 liters high octane .. I felt a little difference in drive + better acceleration ...
