MP3 PLayer Power from CAR Battery?

MP3 PLayer Power from CAR Battery?

The MP3 Players that we can put in our cars (and Run through that cassette with a wire whatever we call that) require a 1.5V Cell to run i think that run only for very few hours. So Can anybody tell me if it is possible to get 1.5V or whatever voltage the MP3 player requires out of my cars battery and Wire it up with the MP3 player so that there is no need of any batteries to run the MP3 player and the player gets the power directly out of the cars battery ?
Has anyone ever tried doing this?

There is an adapter available which plugs into the cigarette lighter of the car. You can get it from any good electrical appliances shop.
Otherwise, use rechargeable cells. Good ones usually last 20-30 hours.
