My FX consumes more than a civic.....Need Help

hey, guys i need a really good suggestion on how to improve my fuel consumption in my dad's old Fx (mine now)... i have started noticing that it's 25 litre tank finishes after every 164 kms that is less than 8 km/litre, i don't know how to improve it's consumption even tough i got a new genuine carborator for it, but it still gives the same no matter what... and i can't even install cng in my car due to the small rear and bumpy ride although the engine is absolutely perfect... please HELPPPP!!!

Somehow I dont trust your mechanic.......a 1983 FX is a very nice car. Maybe, just maybe ur mechanic wants to grab it from you when u make a 'fed-up-of-the-damn-heap' sale!!

I think it should give u a mileage of at least 10 km/litre if not more.

Maybe you should get it tuned by a second person under your watchful eye.
