Necessary steps taken before servicing cars ?

hey guys ,
i often observed when i take my car for servicing after complete servicing it takes time to start first of all due to water went into wires or something like that and than for few days it takes lots of jerks on cng and on petrol i dont know the reason why probably again water went somewhere in electric wiring , i would like to ask our experts here what necessary actions we can take before giving our cars on servicing it might be an idea to cover your wires with bag or something that will cover it please share your knowledge and ideas in this regards thanks in advance .

i am sharing my experience of daewoo racer , they only cover distributer with shopping bag and other parts are still naked. and there is no issue of starting or missing.
