Nissan Petrol Engine GA15DS Problem
Nissan Petrol Engine GA15DS Problem
Dear Members,
I would like to have your advice for some problem in my cars engine. I own Nissan Sunny 1990 Model and had replaced its engine to GA15DS (Petrol 1500CC with Electronic control carburetor (ECC)) which originally came with this model. I do not have CNG installed in my car. What I would like to discuss here is
1. What kind of millage should I be getting from the engine? Currently I am getting around 10-11 KM/L locally and around 13-14 KM/L on Motorway in summer with AC, and starting winter it gave around 12 KM/L locally have not gone on long route yet.
2. The most annoyed thing about this engine is, as I give sudden acceleration it stalls considerably before speeding, I have noticed that it stalls as soon as the 2nd butterfly opens. I have it checked from various Mechanics its Carburetor has been serviced twice and is like a mirror, its distributor has been changed but no improvement. None of the mechanic is able to diagnose the problem. One thing more this engine did not come with an ECU.
Can anyone tell me some mechanic in RWP/ISB who can diagnose the problem, your advices are required.

ECC(Electronic Control Carburetor)......It Means There's Some System Which Is Involved In Control Some Operations On Carburetor....!! Get Them And Wire Them...There Must Be Some ECU Like Box Which Controls The Carb...
DS Is Carb And Semi Electronic Type.....!! DE Is Completely Based On EFi System...!!
