Please advise about air filter

today i went for my cultus VXL cng settings and tuning and the mechanic had closed the most part of the air filter pipe, ther was very little space he left for the air. i asked him y it's so he said it improve the pickup and also reduce the gas consumption.

anwyay when i was way back to home suddenly i felt my car after 5KM of drive went too much hot, i was wondering y it's so, even i checked water level in radiator it was ok. I call mechanic and asked if it's because of closing that filter pipe he replied it cnt be because of that.

Anyway i removed the tape from the pipe and then i start it was not strating on CNG, i drive back on Patrol... and i checked the level of temperature meter was okie after that.

Can you guys please advise what could be the issue? and is it really necessary on CNG that pipe has to be closed and small part of the pipe need to inhale the air?

Sir

CNG needs a near perfect CNG/AIR ratio, you have to either increase/decrease the CNG supply or to block some air.

Petrol performance will decrease by blocking the air intake, but that is a compromise you have to make.

Also thoroughly check the air filter, spark plug and timing, which are very crucial for CNG, also tell your mechanic to service the CNG kit for any oil.

If still not satisfied with performance.

Try the Enercon at the Kashmir road or Honda 2S, Saqib Autos at Malir, they are good at CNG.
