Poor Fuel Average With Prius Alpha

Hi, members,
I have bought Prius Alpha Last week but I could not get the fuel average more than 16 km / l on long. What should I do to make average around 20 km / l.

Hybrids use atkinson cycle engines that are way more efficient than normal engines which run on otto cycle. It should give more avg even on long. get the car checked. Check compression if the above instructions dont make it run better.
