Problem in ignition after fuel refilling

I am observing a problem for some while now, that when I stop for fuel tank refilling and switch off the ignition, the ignition stalls for a while, then starts; sometimes in the second attempt. Very recently, it just refused to get started, and I have to jump start. The battery is now more than about 2.5 years old; however, this specific problem is observed only after fuel tank refilling, not in general on start-up.

My ride is Vitz-2004; no CNG.

Any opinions ?
