Question about Brake service

Hello every one. I just wanted to ask is there any thing like brake service. What will the mechanic do and how much would it cost.
I am asking this because I have noticed a slight difference in my Cuore brakes. Previously I used was able to stop the car without pressing hard on the pedals. But now I have to hit the brakes much harder. I have checked the brake oil and it is up to the mark.

heres nothing like brake adjustment for front brakes if they r discs.i talked to a nice mechanic nd he told that as the pads wear off,the brake adjusts its self.nd when the pads' life is over,they produce a squeeling sound.

but for rear,if drum brakes as in ur case,brake service is really sumthing.cuz the rear braking system is not as automated as the front.nd wouldnt cost u much...might b 300-400rs.
