Reason behind knocking on petrol ?

hey guys ,

i would like to ask our experts why my car is knocking on petrol its running perfectly fine on cng giving good pick and average but when i run it on petrol it starts knocking and its very bad in 3 and 4th gear , i heard knocking is bad for your engine so i would like to ask our experts why my car knocking first of all on petrol secondly whats the remedy for it , 3rd is it dangerous for my engine , i ask the cng mechanic and he said when they tune car for cng they set distributor setting the way it suits for cng hence when they run on petrol they knock on petrol and u cannot stop knocking and i was like ok fine but today i was very dissapointed with my car on petrol cos it seems like it continously knocks and the sound is high so please tell me the solution so my car can run good both in cng and petrol thanks in advance

A simple remedy get yor car fuel tank filled with 20ltrs of Hi Octane and rest with super and drive it hopefully it'll be fine as i have experienced this problem in my different carbies and found this to be the best possible solution.The reason behind this is your car tappits need to be adjusted and as your mechanic says that a car can either be tune at petrol or Cng then every second carby having Cng would have facing this problem which i believe is not that much true.
