Regenrative braking system

is there any who hav some research work on this topic(regenrative braking system)

i think if you throw heavy but balanced friction load on wheel to generate energy for storage,, that should work like engine braking too and wheel skid sensors should be there to reduce friction load from keeping car away from locked wheels during brake.
