Short Wiring

Short Wiring

Hi All,

I have doubt that my car wiring is getting short. My car engine is just overhauled few days back. I found one morning that my original battery is dead. I get charged it and used it, next morning it was again dead. I used another USED battery and found it too dead next morning. Last night I installed a new battery but for safety purpose i pulled out positive wire from terminal. My friend told me told me that after connecting ground wire with neg terminal when i connect positive wire with terminal it will give some spark. It means that something is getting short. There are so many relays in my car. for headlight, cng, blah blah.....
thanks for your opinions.

First of all, always connect the Positive terminal first then the Negative. Positive terminal always produces spark when you connect it after attaching Negative terminal first. If there is some short circuit, either the short circuited wire will get burnt or the battery will expand(from the walls). If that's not the case, make sure that nothing is getting power during ignition switch in OFF position.

How about the charging? Do the battery charging light appear at ignition switch ON position and goes OFF when you start the engine? It might be possible that the alternator's Cut-Out is faulty. Better get your charging system checked.
