Tire Imbalance: Over time, the tires on the Alto Lapin may lose their balance due to wear o r external factors like potholes o r road debris. This causes vibrations in the steering wheel, especially at higher speeds.
Wheel Misalignment: Driving over rough roads o r curbs can result in misalignment, causing uneven tire wear. Misalignment can lead to steering pull, where the car drifts to one side, o r vibrations in the steering wheel.
Impact on Driving:
Vibration in the steering wheel is particularly noticeable at higher speeds over 60-80 km/h. The car may also pull to one side, causing discomfort during driving and making handling less precise.
Solutions:
Regularly balance the tires and check for wear to prevent vibration caused by imbalanced tires.
Perform a wheel alignment at least once a year o r after any major impacts e.g., potholes to ensure the vehicle drives straight and the tires wear evenly.
If you notice vibrations despite these steps, consider inspecting the steering components for wear o r loose parts.
