Strange isnt it?

about 2 days ago a car was brought to me -

Honda civic VTi 2007
about 100,000 kms done (manual tranny)

problem - owner said dealerships and mechanics kehtay hai ke engine khatam hogaya hai rebuild hoga take off breather pipe - its sucking air - bad sign

hmm - checked compression - 185 psi across all 4 holes - good, check engine oil pressure - 25 psi at hot engine idling, coolant not merging with oil or vice versa, no noises coming from bottom end, engine mechanicals are top spec

upon revving it seems to choke up - put the car on stands crept underneath to remove the PCV valve - to find it blocked open with crap and its catch tank packed with crap too..

cleaned it and installed - everything ran sweet.

I fail to understand what kind of idiots have the dealerships hired and how do they qualify for hiring in the first place, its a basic thing to check - and they want to rebuild the engine??

because we dont have people who really know things...they become mechs on their tajarbas....and they try implementing those on everything and dealers will always try to make small things big things so they can get thing cheap....
