Suggest a good engine for lancer 1990

guys tere is a lancer model 1990, i want to replace the engine cuz its having troubles, i guess the age of engine has come, any hows suggest me that should i replace it with the original lancer engine or should i go for toyota indus corolla engine or any other car's engine ?
