Hi,

I have a 88 charade diesel, now I want to swap petrol engine in it, as charade comes with 1.0 and 1.3L engines, please tell me is it good idea to swap its carby 1.3L engine.

Please tell me what type of engine is it, is it good, runs well on CNG with AC, what is the HP etc.

Or should I go for stock 1.0L engine?

I don't want to swap efi engine of toyota or honda as I don't have enough budget.

A friend of mine had similar issue, budget + swap, he went for d15b, got short of money, changed plan, repaired the old one n still using it.

My advice: Bigger engines would 'hopefully' keep you taking to workshops for one problem or the other and i assume you dont want that (problem is not with a BETTER engine, its with better engine than the car itself, charade auqat say bahir ho jaye gi ). Charade's original swap wont help much, it would tear down some time it wont last very long, just repair the one you have and save money, when you get a bigger budget get a bigger engine so that you can afford to bardasht its nakhray as well.
