Suspension and Weight Balance – Is the Ride Too Bumpy?

Suspension and Weight Balance – Is the Ride Too Bumpy?

Due to its rugged suspension setup, some owners feel the ride quality is too stiff, especially when the bed is empty. Do you find the Hilux’s ride too harsh on bumpy roads? Have you made any modifications to improve comfort?

The Toyota Hilux’s rugged suspension setup is designed for off-roading and carrying heavy loads, but this can make the ride feel stiff, especially when the bed is empty. On bumpy o r uneven roads, the ride might feel more harsh o r jarring compared to vehicles with softer suspensions.

Some owners find that the stiff suspension is more noticeable when not carrying heavy cargo, and in these cases, the ride can become uncomfortable. To improve comfort, some people opt for modifications like adding softer shock absorbers, upgrading the suspension system, o r using air bags to reduce the harshness of the ride.

Have you noticed this stiffness in the ride, especially on rough roads, o r have you made any adjustments to improve the comfort?
