How suspension parts ca be maintained for ultimate performance and long life..

I have observed a practice of spraying diesel or black oil under the body after service wash. If it is good or bad suspension conponents...??

as far as i know it is an antirust precaution but its bad for the bushes, as diesel/oil makes the rubber bushes weaker,after spraying disel give it a single water spray from the service station.
