Suzuki WagonR VXL Fuel Average Problem Help!

Hey folks,

So, I recently bought a 2014 WagonR VXL, but man, the fuel efficiency is terrible. Even when I drive with a light foot, its only giving me around 12-13 km/liter. Just for comparison, my previous Alto VXR 2022 was giving me a sweet 22 km/liter. I know WagonR cant reach that level, but 13 is just too low, you know?

To make matters worse, the car has already covered around 100,000 km, and the engine is throwing water with this funky smell of unburnt fuel o r sulfur. Its really stinky! So, Im wondering if I should try cleaning the throttle o r the catalytic converter along with the O2 sensor.

By the way, the tires are still stock, and Ive already changed the spark plugs from Suzuki. Any suggestions on how to improve the fuel efficiency of this beast? Let me know, guys!

Check and replace a clogged air filter. Upgrade to low-rolling-resistance tires.
Maintain your car with regular oil changes and servicing.Drive fuel-efficiently by avoiding aggressive acceleration, braking, and unnecessary idling.
