Weather conditions, both hot and cold, can affect fuel economy:

Hot Weather: In hot climates, like those found in many parts of Pakistan, the engine may work harder to prevent overheating, which can slightly reduce fuel efficiency. Air conditioning usage also increases fuel consumption as it requires extra energy from the engine.
Cold Weather: In colder temperatures, the engine needs to warm up for optimal fuel combustion. During this warm-up period, fuel consumption is higher. Additionally, thicker oil in cold conditions can increase engine drag, leading to higher fuel consumption.
Air Conditioning Usage: The use of air conditioning, particularly in the hot summer months, can reduce fuel economy by as much as 10-20% because it places an additional load on the engine.
Solutions:

In hot weather, avoid using the air conditioning at full blast unless necessary, and try to drive with the windows open for ventilation.
In cold weather, avoid excessive idling to warm up the car. Instead, drive gently for the first few minutes to allow the engine to reach an optimal temperature.
Consider using fuel additives that are designed to improve performance in both hot and cold climates.
