***Thermostat Valve***

The Thermostat Valve of my SUV was taken off by the last owner, Temperature gauge does not go above 15%, water does not get hot in the radiator so no Heater.
What do you suggest, besides installing the valve back?

In my opinion, installing the thermostat valve back is a viable solution, provided the Pajero's cooling system and engine are in good shape.

I drove my Pajero without the thermostat valve, and yes the engine did not heat-up but it rapidly wore off as the engine was running under the specified temperatures, coupled with a feeble heater in the winters. The result was I had to get the engine rebulit this summer which amounted to more than 55k. But now I have the thermostat valve installed and did the initial running in the summers with the valve. Temperature is now maintained at the valve level, and the Pajero is going good with the ac. Thermostat valve is helping every bit.
