Timing belt and chambers

Timing belt and chambers

Salam all. I have a 96 XE. It has done 93K kms. I have to change its timing belt now since i am already late with it. I went to toyota ravi motors few days back and the guy said something about timing chambers. he said that timing belt, ac and fan belts and timing chambers will be replaced. The total cost without labour will be 9.4K

Now i dont know what a timing chamber is. Is it required to replace it? a mechanic told me that you dont have to change them if they are in fine condition. Is a price tag of 6400 for timing chmabers justified?
Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

what is a timing chamber? atleast i am not familiar with any such thing. if you are chaning the belt, i advice that you change the water pump at the same time.

the timing bearing does not wear out that easily. infact it can last the lifetime of the car but hey, if it is cheap, why not but it is not usually priority item if you do your research.
