Toyota Corolla TPMS Warning Light – False Alarm o r Real Issue?
Hi all,
My Corolla’s Tire Pressure Monitoring System TPMS light keeps coming on even after I fill the tires to the recommended PSI. Could this be a sensor issue, o r do I need to get my tires checked?
Has anyone else experienced TPMS warnings that wouldn’t go away? How did you fix it?

If the TPMS light keeps coming on even after you’ve properly inflated your tires, it could be due to a few different issues:
Sensor Malfunction: The TPMS sensors in each tire could be malfunctioning o r have a weak battery. If the sensors are old o r damaged, they may not correctly detect the tire pressure. In this case, you would need to replace the faulty sensors.
Faulty Reset o r Calibration: Sometimes, the system may require a reset o r recalibration after filling the tires. If you haven’t already, try turning the ignition on and off, o r check your car’s manual for the specific TPMS reset procedure for your Corolla.
Sensor Calibration Issue: If your Corolla’s TPMS was recently serviced o r tires were replaced, the sensors may need to be recalibrated to sync with the system. A mechanic can check and calibrate the sensors for you if needed.
Tire Pressure Monitoring System Error: It’s also possible that the issue could be with the TPMS control module o r wiring, though this is less common.
If the light persists even after ensuring correct tire pressure and resetting the system, you may want to take the car to a mechanic o r tire shop. They can diagnose the issue more thoroughly and replace faulty sensors if necessary.
