Toyota Hilux 2022 Gear Shift Problem
Toyota Hilux 2022 Gear Shift Problem
I own a 2022 Hilux Revo and Im experiencing a gear shift problem. Whenever I accelerate quickly, it seems to get stuck at around 79-80 km/h and requires a lot of effort to shift into the next gear, almost as if its stuck at that speed.
Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?

It sounds like you may be experiencing an issue with your Hilux Revos gear shifting. When you accelerate, the vehicle seems to get stuck at around 79-80 km/h, and it takes a lot of effort to shift into the next gear. This can be frustrating and concerning, but there are a few things you can do to diagnose and potentially resolve the issue.
One possible cause of this problem is low o r dirty transmission fluid. If the fluid level is low o r discolored, it can cause shifting issues. Its a good idea to check the transmission fluid level and color, and if its low o r discolored, have it replaced.
Another possible cause is a worn o r damaged clutch, especially if you have a manual transmission. A mechanic can inspect the clutch for wear and replace it if necessary.
You might also want to check the shift linkage. If its loose o r damaged, it can cause difficulty shifting. A mechanic can inspect the linkage and make any necessary repairs.
Finally, modern vehicles are equipped with onboard diagnostic systems that can detect and report transmission-related issues. A mechanic can use a diagnostic scanner to check for error codes and troubleshoot any issues.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be best to take your Hilux Revo to a dealership o r a qualified mechanic for further diagnosis and repair.
