Toyota Prado TZ Under the Amnesty Scheme?

Toyota Prado TZ Under the Amnesty Scheme?

Hello,

Im thinking about buying a 1997 Toyota Prado TZ 3.4L thats part of the amnesty scheme. I have a few questions and would really appreciate your advice:

Price Range: What’s the typical price for a 1997 Prado TZ 3.4L under the amnesty scheme? Are there big differences compared to non-amnesty scheme cars?

Potential Problems: Are there any common issues o r specific concerns with amnesty scheme cars, particularly for this 1997 model, that I should know about before buying?

Paperwork and Legalities: What paperwork and legal steps are involved in buying an amnesty scheme car? How can I make sure all the documents are in order and the car is legally compliant?

User Experiences: If anyone has experience with buying o r owning an amnesty scheme Prado, especially a 1997 model, could you share your experiences? Any tips o r red flags to watch out for?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I recommend avoiding amnesty and auction cars unless you find a very clean one at a great price, and always verify auction details. There’s a lot of fraud with these cars, including forged documents and illegal practices. It’s safer to buy vehicles imported through official channels, as auction and amnesty cars often have lower resale values and higher risks.
