Transmission Fluid for 2008 Prius

I need to change the Prius 2008 transmission fluid. What will you say as will CVT transmission will be good for Prius? If someone recommends the oil in the car is Toyota CVT-WS.

Dont believe in Edmunds as the whole truth. - The transmission in a Prius is not a regular CVT using a belt. it has twin motor generators that vary their rpm to drive the car and use the oil as their coolant.

the oil spec is stamped on the filler plug on every Toyota automatic with a fill port bolt. It will say WS on a 2007 - the earliest ones till about 2002 used T-IV

You can also read the owners manual to see the spec for the oil required - your used car salesman forgot to give it to you?
