Transmisson Failiure on ATF Replacement????!!

Transmisson Failiure on ATF Replacement????!!

Hi guys,

Just discovered that something from Honda dealer (Honda Quaideen-KHI). I have a 2002 civic prosmatec car last week and it has done around 95K. I dont have the service history of the car and wanted to change the transmission fluid just in case. I called Honda ppl to ask them how much would it cost and she told me since your car has done 95 K, and since we dont have any service history, we cannot say that oil ever changed. The transmission can fail if you change the oil of the texts should be adapted to the poor / dirty transmission oil. He also told me when I'm not faced with the transmission issues I shouldn't change the oil (I found this suggestion).

Now I go to take the risk and change the oil (it later cuz I change the worst of the condition would get.)

Advising.

It's a strange reaction, and I'm pretty sure the man knows what he is talking. If you continue with the old ATF oil (considering it was never changed), the transmission is bound to fail sooner or later. I suggest seeking advice from other Honda dealers.

If I were you, I would ASAP ATF chagned room service along with ATF and ATF filter.
