Two problems please help

I have a cuore 2005 auto. There are two problems which i am facing and don;t know exactly what to do since all mechanics seem to have different opinion and i don't know whom to trust.

1st problem: Car's generator is not working properly. i got it replaced with a used generator a month back, now its again not working and car doesn't start. I want to know how much does a new generator costs?

Second problem: When i put my car in D mode the car sometimes does not move forward . it happens for few seconds and after that its normal. A mechanic told me that i have to change gear oil to which i disagree. please help me out on both these issues.

- About the generator, - You may want to see a good electrician ( Xulfiqar may be of help) generator failure occur due to loose Belts & or the overheated charge controller in the generator, new technology is the charge controller is built-in to the generators, where as old tech was about have a controller seperate which is kinda black square box in engine compartment near or close to the battery or the main fuse box. just incase.

IN auto transmission there is a OIL Filter, you need take your Coure to Daihatsu (Toyota) to get that Transmission Oil Filter changed. However before doing so - Check the transmission oil level. in cold & hot conditions. - Another thing, if it is happening only in morning, then wait for 1 complete minute after engine start then shift to D or R to move the car.
