UAE's first CNG car

UAE's first CNG car

My father has been working on this project with the UAE goverment for more than an year now and finally they have managed to test their first car. This particular CNG cylinder is made in Germany and weighs about 50KG, customers will have a choice of different cylinders. First steps have been taken toward the creation of a national network of natural gas vehicle fuelling stations in the UAE. Adnoc plans to build 16 CNG stations by the end of this year.
Conversion of fleet vehicles, including the taxis, utility company fleets, Adnoc own vehicles, armed forces and police vehicles, will be Adnocs first priority.

I heard about this project about 3 years ago.
Well they are going to face a hard time selling it coz most of the arabs like power. And on cng that is very hard to get, so it would be a tough job to get it common among normal consumers. Where as it would be a help to the commercial sector.
I heard about 6 months ago that there is a company who is trying to launch taxi's which would be all hybird and electric.
But after seeing whats going on in sharjah, they would certainly drop their plan of electric
