Uneven Paint Finish on Alto Lapin After a Professional Repaint
After getting my Alto Lapin repainted professionally, I’ve noticed an uneven finish, with some areas appearing shinier o r rougher than others. What could be the cause of this uneven finish, and how can it be corrected to achieve a smooth and consistent appearance?

An uneven paint finish after a professional repaint can occur due to several factors such as poor preparation, improper application techniques, o r environmental conditions during painting. Common issues include areas that are glossier than others, rough texture, o r visible streaks.
Causes:
Improper Surface Preparation: If the surface wasn’t properly cleaned o r prepped before repainting, it can affect how the paint adheres, leading to uneven finishes.
Incorrect Paint Mixing: If the paint wasn’t mixed properly o r the wrong type of paint was used, it may cause uneven coverage.
Environmental Factors: Painting in a dusty o r humid environment can lead to imperfections like bubbles, streaks, o r uneven texture.
Poor Application Techniques: Applying too much o r too little paint can result in areas with a different gloss level o r texture.
Prevention and Solution:
Proper Surface Preparation: Ensure the body shop thoroughly cleans and preps the car, removing all dirt, rust, and old paint before applying new layers.
Quality of Paint: Ensure the body shop uses high-quality paint and follows the manufacturer’s specifications for your car.
Polishing and Buffing: A professional can polish and buff the affected areas to improve the finish. If the issue persists, consider having the paint reapplied in the affected sections.
Ask for a Rework: If the problem is significant, request the body shop to redo the repaint in the affected areas. Most professional body shops will provide a warranty o r guarantee on their work, ensuring they correct any issues.
