Vigo engine problem

Vigo engine problem

I bought 2004 vigo 4 months ago with 150000 km on it. the problem is that when I take the oil stick out, white smoke continously comes out of it. its not eating engine oil at all(3000km).there is no problem with the pick-up and turbo is working fine. and the other problem is that when transmission is in D, thick black smoke comes out of exhaust pipe(it only comes at about 800-900 rpm and truck is idle). the smell of this smoke is bad. A mechanic from toyota told me that its very expensive to maintain these trucks as fuel system(common rail) is not suitable for pakistani enivironment(diesel quality) Suggest me if I should keep this truck or sell it and go for something else.

well D4D engines are quiet different in working compared to Old ones....!! Basics are same but its all controlled electronically more advanced....!!
get injection system checked and make sure its not clogged........2ndly if it gives black smoke only one specific point than it might be some sensor malfunctioning.....!!
what is the engine code b.t.w?
