There are several common causes of purge control valve failure in Suzuki Cultus models, particularly under harsh driving conditions o r in regions like Pakistan:

Poor Maintenance: Regular servicing is essential. If the vehicle’s air intake system o r fuel system is not properly maintained, the purge valve can become clogged o r damaged. This includes issues like a dirty air filter o r clogged fuel system components.

Exposure to Harsh Weather Conditions: Extreme temperatures both hot and cold can cause the valve to wear out prematurely. In Pakistan, where summers can be intense, the valve may be exposed to extreme heat, which can cause plastic components to degrade.

Fuel Quality: Using low-quality o r adulterated fuel can introduce contaminants into the fuel system, which can clog o r damage the purge valve. Poor-quality fuel may also cause the valve to malfunction if it mixes with vapor in the system.

Faulty Charcoal Canister: If the charcoal canister that stores fuel vapors becomes saturated o r damaged, it can lead to excess pressure on the purge valve, causing it to fail.

Age of the Vehicle: Older models, especially those with high mileage, are more likely to have issues with the purge control valve due to general wear and tear over time.

Improper Installation o r Repairs: If the purge valve has been replaced previously and the installation wasn’t done correctly, it can fail prematurely. Improper sealing o r connections can cause leaks o r malfunctions in the system.
