What are the common symptoms of a clogged engine oil filter in my Alto Lapin?
I’m noticing strange engine noises and a in oil pressure in my Alto Lapin. Could a clogged engine oil filter be the reason behind these symptoms? How do I know if the filter is clogged, and how often should I replace it to avoid engine damage in Pakistan’s hot conditions?

A clogged engine oil filter can cause serious engine problems by preventing the oil from circulating properly and filtering out contaminants. Oil is essential for lubricating the engine’s moving parts, and without proper filtration, dirt and debris can cause engine wear o r even damage.
Symptoms of a Clogged Oil Filter:
Strange engine noises: If the oil filter is clogged, the oil may not be circulating properly, causing friction between the engine components and leading to knocking o r grinding sounds.
Low oil pressure: The oil pressure warning light may illuminate, indicating that the oil is not circulating efficiently due to a clogged filter.
Dirty engine oil: If the oil appears thick, dark, o r gritty when you check it, it could be a sign that the oil filter is clogged and failing to properly clean the oil.
Solution:
Replace the oil filter every time you change the engine oil. In Pakistan’s hot climate, oil and filters should be replaced every 5,000 to 7,500 kilometers.
Regular oil changes help maintain engine health and ensure the oil filter works effectively.
