To troubleshoot steering issues in your Prius:

Check for error codes: Use an OBD-II scanner to check for any steering-related error codes e.g., EPS motor faults o r sensor issues.
Inspect the 12V battery: Test the battery voltage to ensure it’s providing adequate power for the EPS system.
Listen for unusual noises: Pay attention to clunking, grinding, o r whining sounds, which can indicate problems with the steering column o r EPS motor.
Check the steering fluid if applicable: Although the Prius uses EPS and doesn’t have hydraulic fluid, any loose components could cause issues. Look for visible damage in the steering system components.
Test steering response: While parked, turn the steering wheel and assess if there is any resistance o r abnormal movement.
