What are the signs of alternator failure in a BMW 2 Series?

I drive a BMW 2 Series in Pakistan, and recently, I’ve noticed dimming headlights, weak battery performance, and electrical issues. Could this be due to alternator failure? What are the most common symptoms of a failing alternator in the BMW 2 Series?
