Worn-out tie rods: Tie rods connect the steering rack to the wheels, and worn-out tie rods can cause clunking o r knocking sounds.
Loose steering components: Any loose o r worn parts within the steering system, such as the steering column o r rack mounts, can also cause these noises.
Faulty CV joints: When turning sharply, worn CV joints can also produce similar knocking sounds.
Diagnosis: A mechanic can inspect the steering and suspension system to identify the root cause of the noise.
