The purge control valve is a key component of the evaporative emission control EVAP system. How does a malfunctioning valve impact exhaust emissions, and does it cause the car to fail emission tests in Pakistan?

The purge control valve is an integral part of the EVAP system, which prevents fuel vapors from escaping into the atmosphere. A malfunctioning valve can cause an increase in emissions as the vapors are not properly routed to the engine for combustion. This may cause the car to fail emissions tests in Pakistan, which can result in not passing vehicle inspections o r regulatory tests.
