When to Change the PCV Valve on Your Vehicle: Mileage Thresholds

Recently, I purchased a well-maintained Honda Civic Turbo and plan on performing mandatory fluid changes.

Im curious about when the PCV valve should be replaced and the BOV valve checked, given that the current mileage is 70k. Could you provide guidance for other turbo owners on this matter?

Typically, the PCV valve should be replaced every 60,000 to 80,000 kilometers, although this can vary based on your driving style. You can easily determine if the PCV valve needs to be replaced by spraying brake cleaner inside both ends of the valve and observing the result. If the brake cleaner only sprays out from one side, then the valve is functioning properly.
