Transmission fluid leaks in the Hilux commonly occur from the transmission pan, seals, gaskets, o r cooler lines. The most frequent sources include:

Transmission Pan: Loose bolts o r a damaged pan gasket can cause leaks. The fix involves tightening the bolts o r replacing the gasket.
Axle o r Output Shaft Seals: Worn o r cracked seals allow fluid to leak. The solution is seal replacement and checking for shaft wear.
Torque Converter Seal: If fluid leaks from the front of the transmission, a faulty torque converter seal may be the issue, requiring removal of the transmission for seal replacement.
Cooler Lines: Cracked o r loose transmission cooler lines can leak and may need tightening o r replacement.

Regular fluid level checks, using the correct ATF, and inspecting for leaks early help prevent major transmission issues.
