Why blame the brakes !!

Why blame the brakes !!

Last night I was coming back from Garhi Shahoo after getting repaired the gear assembly of the other car. When I reached in front of Askari 9 the car in front of me suddenly braked hard. I did manage to stop my car in time and at the same time looked back in the rear view mirror. I could see the car behind me while its driver looking towards the other side. The driver even didn't bother to brake till the last moment and bang.. I got out.. Checked the rear bumper.. It was damaged and part of the cover of the trunk was also damaged.. The driver who was a young man said that he had braked hard and he argued that it was my fault as I had braked suddenly.. His mother was also arguing over the same thing.. while I clearly saw that he didn't brake at all.. He said that he was the son of a serving Army officer but later on it proved yo be wrong.
The thing is that there are a lot of people complaining abt the brakes. Why blame the brakes when you are not concentrating on the road? People hardly keep the distance of few feet from the next car even at 80km/hr. If a car 10 yrs old can stop in a specific distance then why can't the car which is 2 yrs old stop??
And once you hav made a mistake then one why tell a lie?? Why not face it a and accept it that its one's mistake??
